Service

Ibbie provides a consumer-permissioned data service that facilitates an application process by providing bank account information and transaction history during an application process. This is a convenient alternative to manually providing bank statements. The process begins when you apply for credit or another transaction, like a lease for an apartment. If the company you apply with is an Ibbie customer, the customer may obtain information from you and provide it to Ibbie in order to perform the Ibbie Service, which includes your name, bank account number, an email address, and telephone number. Once that information is received, Ibbie, through its service provider, will send you a link via email or text. This link will take you to the Ibbie website where you select the financial institution that you bank with, enter your online login and password for that financial institution, and indicate that you agree to terms and conditions of the Ibbie Service. Ibbie, directly or through its service providers, will use your login and password and attempt to login to your account. If successful, Ibbie and its service providers will have access to the same information that you see when you log into your account online. Ibbie, directly or through its service providers, will extract bank account transaction history and provide it to the Ibbie customer that requested the Ibbie Service. This service is paid for by the Ibbie customer and there is no charge to you.

Ibbie uses your information to provide the Ibbie Service and after deidentification, uses information for analytics and to improve the Ibbie Service. Ibbie does not sell your information outside of the Ibbie Service. Ibbie prohibits its service providers and customers from using the information outside of the Service; however, service providers may use information for analytics and to improve its services after deidentifying the information.

The Ibbie Service is provided to Ibbie customers who have a permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The customer may only use the information received through the Ibbie Service for that purpose and no other.

The Ibbie Service is completely voluntary. If you do not want to participate in the Ibbie Service, you can contact the company you applied with to find out what other options they may have for completing the application process.

Accuracy of Consumer Reports

As a consumer reporting agency, Ibbie follows reasonable procedures to ensure the accuracy of information in consumer reports, as required under section 607(b) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Consumer Access and Correction Rights

Ibbie does not have a database of information from which new reports are created, so if you have not previously used the Ibbie Services, we will not have any reports on you.

If you have used the Ibbie Service within the last 90 days, you can contact us by mail or by phone to request a copy of report used in the transaction. In order to protect your privacy, we require that you provide proper identification prior to disclosing consumer report information.

Under Section 611 of the FCRA, you have the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information in a consumer report. We conduct a reinvestigation of the disputed information within 30 days of receipt of the dispute (45 days if you provide additional information once the reinvestigation has begun). Results of the reinvestigation are mailed to you.
